Gulet Cruise, Turkey | | | A gulet
(pronounced goolett) cruise is, in our opinion, one of the best holidays
ever to have been invented. Its a wonderful combination of al fresco eating
and drinking, swimming in a huge, crystal clear pool (the Med!) and, of course,
cruising along one of the Mediterraneans most beautiful and photogenic coastlines.
Add to all this a series of picturesque coves, magnificent scenery, snorkelling
and sunbathing and you have the kind of holiday you can only dream about on cold,
wet, winter evenings. However, decisions have to be made once youre on board
but, luckily, they all fall into the feelgood category. A swim before or after
breakfast? Fishing or snorkelling? Front or back tan? And so it goes on, day after
day after day. No TV, no traffic, no worries bliss! In our view, a gulet
cruise is the ultimate in holiday enjoyment. Simple pleasures and a wonderful
feeling of getting away from it all. | | Your
Travel One gulet offers a truly memorable cruise beginning and ending in Marmaris.
There is no fixed itinerary as such although a similar route is taken on most
cruises (see map and typical itinerary). No two days are the same but a fairly
typical day may go along the lines of, first, a leisurely breakfast followed by
a couple of hours cruising before dropping anchor in a secluded bay for
swimming, snorkelling and lunch. Afternoon cruise, again for a couple of hours,
and then anchor for the night, usually in a quiet bay. Dinner, of course, will
be on board. The cruise itinerary is always dependent on weather and operational
conditions and is always subject to the captains approval. There are usually
8 small-ish cabins, all with a sh/wc. Theres a sunbathing area with sun
mattresses, a saloon / bar, a shaded afterdeck for meals and drinks, a music system,
a galley, snorkels & flippers and a tender-boat. | TURKEY VISA
