What we do and how we do it.
|
|
| Who else will be in my group? |
| Travel One groups are generally
made up of a broad mix of people many of whom, in our
experience, become friends rather than just fellow guests.
Groups can and do vary in size from the small to the medium
to the large and there are usually more ladies than gents
(although not always).Ages vary, too, from the 30s to
the 60s and, indeed, the 70s (see the Am I too old?
paragraph).Youll have the opportunity to join in
some sightseeing and, hopefully, experience a little local
life on the (optional) excursions which our representative
or agent will organise for you in your resort. From what
you tell us, this, in addition to value for money and
efficient, personal service, is what the majority of guests
want from a singles holiday and, whilst its true
to say that the commercial attractions are more obvious
in a few of our featured destinations, were confident
weve struck the right balance with the resorts weve
chosen. At Travel One, our principal aim is to ensure you
enjoy your holiday to the full, preferably in the company
of fellow guests who, for whatever reason, choose to go
on holiday alone. |
|
|
|
| Single supplements? |
| Absolutely not. On all Travel
One holidays, the price you see in the price panel is
for a single room or cabin with private facilities (apart
from Kenya Safaris - see page 44). No ifs,
no buts. |
|
|
|
| Am I Too Old? |
| Definitely not! Although the
majority of our guests are in the 30s to 60s
age group, there is no upper age limit as we are constantly
being told its mind over matter - if you dont
mind, age doesnt matter! On most holidays there
is, generally, a wide age range but please note that the
reservations process changes on a daily basis and group
sizes will vary both up and down between the booking date
and the actual travel date. |
|
|
|
| How many have
booked so far, please? |
| This is the
first question we are always asked followed, inevitably,
by thanks very much, Ill get back to you later.
Obviously, not everyone can book early but please dont
assume that a particular holiday will automatically be
available if you wait until the last minute. It wont.
Early booking is strongly recommended, especially for
peak dates like Easter and Christmas, a) because it means
that groups will build up more quickly and you (and we)
will know well in advance how many fellow travellers there
will be on your holiday, and b) we want all our holidays
to operate as per our brochure schedule. Please note,
too, that apart from occasional website promotions and
early booking offers, we do not discount our holidays
so, generally speaking, there is no reason to wait till
the last moment to book your holiday in the hope of a
late discount. |
|
|
|
| When should I book? |
| The short answer is, of course,
as early as possible. Our partner airlines and tour operators
have strict deadlines for releasing unsold seats, usually
10 weeks before the holiday departure date. This means
that should you book within 10 weeks of departure it may
not be possible to book you on the standard Travel One
flight at the normal Travel One fare. This could mean,
therefore, that you may have to pay an additional flight
supplement together with an additional transfer cost on
top of the brochure price. We realise that early booking
is not always possible but it is usually the most cost
effective way of booking your holiday. |

|
| Your Travel One Holiday Is Fully Protected |
| The air holidays in this brochure
are ATOL Protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our
ATOL number is ATOL 5188 |
|
|
|
| Resort Representatives & Local Agents |
| Our resort representatives and
/ or local agents and tour guides, who generally live
in or near the resort, will be available during your holiday
to provide you with assistance and information and to
ensure that your holiday runs as smoothly as possible.
On gulet cruise and Nile cruise holidays you will be looked
after by the crew and / or our local agents on-board
representative whilst on all Tours, your driverguide will
provide all the information you require. |

|
| Hotel, Cruise & Resort Descriptions. |
| All resorts, hotels, tours and
cruises have been chosen with great care but they have
not necessarily been chosen for their creature comforts,
international restaurants or Olympic-size swimming pools
(indeed, some featured properties are not officially classified).
It could be that the location and views are exceptional
or, perhaps, the owners treat guests like long-lost family;
or, because the hotel offers great value for money.Whatever
the reason, all our resorts and properties are clearly
described and always give an honest idea as to what to
expect in terms of comfort, facilities and overall holiday
enjoyment value. |
|
|
|
| Exclusivity |
| Please note that Travel One does
not have exclusivity in any brochured hotel, tour or cruise.
Other guests, therefore, may be sharing the hotels
or cruise facilities. |
|
|
|
| Smoking Policy |
| Guests are politely requested
not to smoke during all meals and to wait until the meal
is ended before lighting up. For safety reasons, smoking
is not allowed at all times in cabins on cruise holidays.
In most countries, smoking is not allowed on transfer
and excursion coaches. |
