Marinha Dourada Resort, Goa
The welcoming Marinha Dourada Resort enjoys a great location on the edge of two small lakes with direct views of the nearby paddy fields. Baga Beach and the resort centre is either a 10 minute walk away or a couple of minutes in the hotel’s free shuttle bus. All along the beach you will find little ‘shacks’ and bars selling drinks and local delicacies and, of course, you’ll also find local entrepreneurs selling everything from silk shirts to saris.
The Marinha Dourada has a restaurant overlooking one of the two swimming pools and, in high season, you can hire pedaloes and rowing boats on the lake. The second swimming pool has wonderful lake views and its own sunbathing area. There’s occasional live music in the hotel and there’s also a bar, a small gym, jacuzzi, and beauty salon (payable locally). All the hotel’s air-conditioned bedrooms, with balcony or terrace, have a ceiling fan, phone, minibar, TV with some satellite channels and a bathroom with sh/wc

| Day 1 | Depart the UK for overnight flight to Delhi. |
| Day 2 | Arrive Delhi and day at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Delhi, the 4 star Hotel Suryaa. |
| Day 3 | A guided tour of Old and New Delhi, the colourful bazaars and
the Mughal architecture of Old Delhi contrasting with the formal
splendour of New Delhi. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk
market, see the Red Fort and on to Raj Ghat, the cremation site of
Mahatma Gandhi. Later, visit New Delhi’s Qutub Minar, the pride of
Delhi. See also the Rashtrapati Bhawan and India gate. Dinner and
overnight in Delhi, the 4 star Hotel Suryaa. |
| Day 4 | After breakfast, drive from Delhi to Agra (approx. 4hrs), visit
the Agra Fort and the beautiful palaces and gardens inside the fort.
Later, visit the awe-inspiring monument of love, the Taj Mahal, one of
the 7 wonders of the world, and see a demonstration of inlaying precious stones in marble by master craftsmen. Dinner and overnight in Agra, the 4 star Sarovar Crystal Premier. |
| Day 5 | After breakfast, drive from Agra to Jaipur (approx. 5hrs 30mins) and, en route, visit Fatehpur Sikri, an exquisite World Heritage Site
with its red sandstone, forts, palaces and mosques. Dinner and overnight in Jaipur, the 4 star Hotel Park Regis. |
| Day 6 | After breakfast, visit the Amber Fort and stop on the way at the Hawa Mahal, the Palace of The Winds. The climb up to the Fort is by
elephant! Back in the city, visit the City Palace and the Royal
Astronomical Observatory. Dinner and overnight in Jaipur, the 4 star
Hotel Park Regis. |
| Day 7 | After breakfast, transfer to Jaipur airport for the flight to
Goa. On arrival in Goa, transfer to the 3 star Marinha Dourada Hotel for dinner and a 7 night stay with an optional programme of sightseeing and excursions. |
| Day 14 | Transfer to Goa airport for your return flight to the UK. |
