Costa Rica Itinerary
|Day 1 ||Depart the UK for your flight to San Jose, Costa Rica. Welcome briefing, dinner and overnight at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for 1 night in a deluxe room.|
|Day 2 ||After breakfast, a leisurely, scenic drive (approx.. 3hrs 30mins) to the Northern Plains and the iconic Arenal Volcano, rising to one mile above sea level. Dinner and overnight at the Mountain Paradise Hotel for 3 nights, half board in a premium suite.|
|Day 3 & 4 ||At leisure in the Arenal Volcano area to enjoy one of the many optional excursions – bird-watching, zip-lining, white-water rafting, hiking to an extinct volcano, the Arenal Volcano itself, visit a local cacao plantation (learn how they make chocolate) or visit a hot water spring resort and enjoy the volcanic-water pools.|
|Day 5||After breakfast, a scenic drive to Costa Rica’s central Pacific coast, crossing the location where the arid Pacific area meets the humid cloud forest. There will be a stop for lunch en route before continuing to Quepos, home to the famous Manuel Antonio National Park. Dinner and overnight at the El Parador Resort & Spa for 5 nights, half board, garden view.|
|Day 6-9 ||At leisure in this unique area of Costa Rica. The El Parador Resort offers a complimentary shuttle service to local beaches, restaurants and the Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the most beautiful and bio-diverse regions of the country. Although it is Costa Rica’s smallest National Park, it is home to a wonderful combination of rain forests, beaches, coral reefs and wildlife (including iguanas, sloths and squirrel monkeys).|
|Day 10 ||After breakfast, a leisurely drive (approx. 3hrs 30mins) to San Jose for your return flight to the UK|
