Travel One Brochure
Travel One’s brochure / website information is prepared many months in advance of its publication and circumstances regarding flights and accommodation can and do change in the interim. Should we be made aware of any significant changes to the brochure / website description which we think will adversely affect the enjoyment of your holiday, we will inform you at the time of booking or, if you have already booked, as soon as reasonably possible prior to your departure date.
Passports & Visas
A valid, full British passport is essential for all UK citizens travelling to all destinations in this brochure and should normally be valid for a minimum of 6 months after the return travel date. It is your responsibility to contact the relevant embassy or consulate to obtain this information. If you need to apply for (or renew) a passport, it is best to do so as early as possible before your departure date. British visitors to Turkey are
required to pay £10 sterling for a visa on entering the country. Only English notes can be used. British visitors to Egypt and Kenya require a visa (approx. £15 for Egypt and 50 US dollars for Kenya) which can be obtained in advance from the Egyptian or Kenyan Consulate or on entering the country. British visitors to India require a visa (approximately £40 plus handling fee) which must be obtained in advance via an agency (call Travel One for details). British visitors to Cuba must be in possession of a Cuba Tourist Card which will be arranged by Travel One and the cost (£20, which includes a handling charge) added to your holiday invoice. British visitors to Sri Lanka require a visa which must be purchased online and costs the equivalent of 20 US dollars. Holders of British and non-British passports should contact the relevant consulate or embassy of the countries featured in this brochure for up-to-date passport and visa information as regulations can and do change with little or no notice. Should you amend your name for any reason between the time of booking and the departure date, we must be notified immediately in order to make the necessary changes to your holiday documentation (see Booking Conditions - ‘if you change your booking’). The name on your flight ticket and passport must correspond. If not, aircraft boarding may be denied and may also result in insurance cover becoming invalid. Please note that it is your responsibility to have a valid passport and appropriate visa for your holiday. If you hold a non- British passport it is your responsibility to check passport and visa details with the relevant consulate.
Health & Vaccinations
We strongly recommend that you check with your doctor as to what vaccinations and / or pills are advisable or necessary at least 2 months before your departure date. You should also refer to the Department of Health leaflet “Access to Healthcare Abroad” which can be obtained free of charge by calling 0300 123 1002.
Night Flights & Hotel Rooms
Your hotel accommodation is reserved for you from midday on the date of your departure from the UK. For night flights with a scheduled departure of between midnight and 0600, the day of departure is, for reservations purposes, the previous day. Should you arrive at your hotel in the early hours or during the morning of the day after your departure from the UK, your accommodation will be immediately available. In these circumstances, this is classed as the first night of your holiday even though it is only part of a night. All rooms will usually have to be vacated by 1200 noon on the last day of your holiday (1000 on gulet holidays). Occasionally, there may be several hours to wait before the departure of your return flight. In such cases and depending on availability, a room may be made available for you to shower, change and / or store your baggage. Some hotels allow you to keep your room after midday but there is usually a charge for this which should be paid locally directly to the hotel.
Hotel Meals
Self-service buffet meals are the norm in most hotels and will usually be available throughout the Travel One programme. Breakfast will be the continental type unless otherwise stated. Special dietary requests will be treated as special requests and will not form part of your contract with Travel One. Please note that certain flight timings may cause you to miss a meal on arrival or prior to departure even if this meal is brochured as part of the holiday. We regret we cannot make refunds in these circumstances.
In-Flight Meals
There is a charge for all meals, snacks and drinks on most airlines and all ‘no-frills’ carriers. Unless shown otherwise on your holiday confirmation invoice, in-flight meals will not be provided.

Dress code
In most of the hotels and cruises featured the dress code is casual throughout the day but smart casual in the evening. In all hotels and on all cruises, gentleman are requested to wear long trousers and not shorts for dinner.
Airline Baggage Allowance
Unless advised otherwise, your baggage allowance is 20kgs. An additional baggage allowance may be available on certain flights but this is dependent on the airline operating the route. There is a charge for all additional baggage allowances.
Central Heating & Air-conditioning
Certain hotels which offer central heating and / or airconditioning in public rooms and / or bedrooms only operate the system at peak times in order to conserve energy. Some hotels have centrally controlled units, while others have individual appliances in each room. Please note there may be a local charge for some bedroom appliances.
Solar Heating
Many hotels, especially in the Mediterranean, use solar power to heat their water supply but, of course, cloudy days, early mornings and late evenings means no sunshine which, in turn, means no hot water. However, most hotels have a back-up system for heating water but, please note, not all.
Building Work
Building work and noise from drills, cranes, etc. is almost unavoidable in developing resorts. Some countries are stricter than others regarding the control of building work but, unfortunately, any resort development is completely beyond our control. Quite often, electricity and water supplies are affected although power cuts and water shortages are a lot less common now than before. If, in our opinion, building work is likely to adversely affect the enjoyment of your holiday, we will inform you either at the time of booking or, if you’ve already booked your holiday, as soon as possible after receiving a report from our resort representative or agent.
Early & Late Season Facilities
Some resorts’ seasons are longer than others’ and certain facilities in some resorts may not be available in early and late season. There will occasionally be early and late season maintenance in most featured accommodation.
Safety Standards
We urge you to take all reasonable precautions to protect yourself whilst on holiday especially in public areas such as restaurants, lifts, swimming pools, balconies and other environments which may pose a threat to personal safety. You should exercise particular care with food and drink.
Minimum Group Numbers
Most holidays in this brochure require a minimum number of persons to enable them to take place and we reserve the right to determine the number in each group. Should the minimum number for a particular holiday (where applicable) not be reached, we will advise you approximately 4 weeks before departure and, where possible, offer an alternative holiday. If an alternative holiday is not possible or acceptable, we reserve the right to cancel the holiday and refund all monies paid to Travel One in respect of the holiday. Please note that Travel One will not be responsible for any additional costs you may have incurred (e.g. domestic flights, trains, car parking, etc) should your holiday be cancelled.
Prices & Exchange Rates
Prices include VAT on all holidays to EU countries. Exchange rates used to calculate VAT and known costs for prices in this brochure are the rates applicable at the time of brochure publication. In the event of exchange rate and fuel cost fluctuations, Travel One will absorb the first 2% of any increase to your holiday cost but reserves the right to pass on any increased holidays costs over and above 2%. However, if this amount exceeds your total holiday price by more than 10%, you will be able to cancel your holiday with a full refund .In all cases, you will be notified not less than 11 weeks before your departure date.

  • Return flight from the UK to your overseas airport
  • Baggage allowance as advised
  • Transfers to and from your holiday resort and on all multi-centre holidays
  • Accommodation and meals as confirmed on your invoice
  • All obligatory airport taxes and security charges (except long haul local departure taxes)
  • ATOL fee
  • Air Passenger Duty
  • Services (where applicable) of a resort representative, agent, driver-guide or crew
  • All obligatory hotel service charges and taxes
  • VAT on all holidays to EU countries
Not Included Are …
  • Flight supplements as detailed under Flight Information
  • Excursions, gratuities, porterage, certain hotel & cruise facilities and other personal expenditure
  • Any applicable room or meal supplements
  • Holiday insurance
  • Charges which airlines, hotels or cruises may make for items such as luggage, in-flight meals, sports equipment, porterage, sunbeds, entertainment, room service, airconditioning, etc.
  • Long haul (local) departure taxes
  • A £15 late booking fee for all bookings made within 15 days of the departure date
  • Cost of visas or vaccinations where necessary
  • Overseas arrival / departure taxes & visa charges imposed by the relevant overseas country and payable locally
Brochure/Website Validity & Prices
This brochure/website was published in December 2011 and the details and prices contained in it are valid from 1 January 2012 until 31 March 2013 or until publication of any revised edition. Any subsequent price changes will be displayed on Travel One’s website (www.travelone.co.uk) and / or advised by Travel One’s reservations department.
