Your Itinerary

Day 1 – Fly overnight to Saigon.


Day 2 – At leisure in Saigon. Transfer to your hotel – the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight Saigon.


Day 3 – Discover Saigon. See the astonishing Vietcong’s Cu Chi Tunnels before returning to Saigon to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum. Overnight Saigon.


Day 4 – The Mekong Delta. To Ben Tre for a cruise on the Mekong River through a maze of palm-lined canals and a glimpse of daily life on the Mekong Delta. See the Vinh Trang Pagoda en route back to Saigon. Overnight Saigon.


Day 5 – To Hoi An. Fly to Danang and transfer to Hoi An for an afternoon walking tour in this traditional and laid back city. Visit an old merchant’s house, the elaborate Japanese Bridge and a bustling market. Overnight Hoi An.


Day 6 – Tra Que village. A small farming community which supplies hotels and restaurants in the area with vegetables and herbs. See the farmers at work. On to Cua Dai beach or a free afternoon in Hoi An. Overnight Hoi An.


Day 7 – Imperial Hue & The Royal Tombs. A scenic route to see the epitome of Vietnam’s dynastic past, Hue. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Royal Tombs of Minh Mang set in beautiful gardens and pools. Continue to the old Thien Mu Pagoda before cruising on the Perfume River. Visit the Forbidden Purple City and the Imperial Citadel, the magnificent centrepiece of the Royal Empire. Overnight Hue.


Day 8 – Transfer to airport, fly to Hanoi and afternoon at leisure. Overnight Hanoi.


Day 9 – Hanoi. Visit the Ho Chi Minh Quarter to see Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, see the Stilt House in the gardens of the Presidential Palace, visit the One Pillar Pagoda and the Confucian Temple of Literature and a walk through the Old Quarter to enjoy a traditional water puppet show. Overnight Hanoi.


Day 10 – Halong Bay. Enjoy a traditional junk cruise on the dramatically beautiful tranquil green waters of Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A fresh seafood meal is included during your cruise. Overnight stay.


Day 11 – Sunrise over Halong Bay. Enjoying a beautiful Halong Bay sunrise and return to Hanoi. Overnight Hanoi.


Day 12 – Fly Hanoi to the UK, arriving home the same or following day.
